Our conversation makes me think that whenever we take one step, however small, we’re no longer where we used to be. Maybe it’s unmeasurably small; but logistically, we’re no longer where we used to be. So if you take enough of these steps, you can actually begin to feel like you’re no longer where you used to be. You can see it in yourself, in your behavior, your values, how you regard yourself and others. The evidence of it becomes apparent.

But every step we take, we’re no longer what we used to be. And if what you used to be is not where you need to be or who you really are, then the steps you take become very important. The big ones, the little ones—lots of little ones, a few big ones probably—they all become very important. And if you keep moving in that direction, it doesn’t need to talk to you. Right? If you’re stagnant or can’t get yourself going, then it’ll send a repeated message to you; it may be simple.

If you’re moving, you don’t need that guidance. So the New Message is constantly talking about movement: going up the mountain, taking steps, making decisions, taking on this, letting go of that. Movement. Movement. Movement.

So thank you all for taking steps. I know maybe the little ones are imperceptible, but when they add up, you get a real result that only you can quantify to yourself.

So the blessing is with us. Let’s keep moving.
