A Prayer: Let us Practice Forbearance

Watch Marshall Vian Summers give a prayer during a Fireside Broadcast, June 6, 2015.
May we learn to be receptive, patient, humble and observant, quieting the racing voices of our mind, bringing ourselves into this moment, looking ahead without coming to conclusions. Watching, waiting, moving, accomplishing things—this all represents the deeper integration within us, where our worldly mind finds its rightful place in service to the Power and Presence that God has put within us, which represents our true Creation, within and beyond time.
Let us practice forbearance, then. Let us learn to wait and listen before speaking, before acting rashly, before agreeing to things which may not be agreeable, before associating with people whom you are not meant to associate with.
May the pervasive silence and Presence of Knowledge hold us back and then set us forward when the time is right. May the Presence of the Unseen Ones be with us.
Nasi Novare Coram
Thank you so much for this prayer Marshall. A prayer for me, that can help slow me down so that I stay aware of my emotions, behavior, communication and intention. So many things I can take with me out into to the world to stay focused and have balance with myself and with others. NNC
Such a helpful prayer for this moment we are all passing through , when although we are “staying home” our minds may be racing, our ability to bring ourselves into this present moment may be challenged, and when we may be wanting to jump to premature conclusions about what lies ahead, and what is and isn’t true, just to get relief from the discomfort of not knowing…a prayer to help us return to the silence and Presence of Knowledge, in the midst of this unprecedented Global Pandemic.Thank you for being with us as we go through this first of the Great Waves…and the blessing of having your voice recorded here to steady us as we go…
