Being a Bridge Between Two Realities

Hear the Marshall Vian Summers speak during a Monday Meeting, in Boulder, CO, Jun 7, 2021.
It’s like walking between, in the middle of, two different realities that seem to be so different that they have very little relationship with each other. And you have to hold both realities without trying to make them one reality. And the tension of doing that and the kind of expansion of your personal mind to enable you to do that—to hold two realities without confusing one with the other, or trying to meld them in some kind of unnatural fusion—is really something. And it always stuck with me, that notion that it’s like walking between two walls, and they’re close but they’re not the same. Or they’re two different realms of Being, and they’re close, but they’re not the same, and you have to walk that middle line between them and stay connected with both of them in their own domains. So how you regard your Ancient Home is not how you regard the world. It’s a completely different state of mind. Your responsibility to those who sent you is different from your responsibilities that you have here on Earth. How you regard your nature—who you are in that Greater Reality—is entirely different from how you regard yourself as a person with a separate identity, a separate awareness living in Separation. So this idea of holding two realities and being engaged with both of them—that’s what it means to be a bridge over which a greater truth can pass through you into the world. But a bridge is connected to both shores, but it’s not solely connected to either of them. So if you use that bridge analogy—The Bridge to a New Life is a teaching in the New Message [Building the Bridge to a New Life], and there is a teaching also called The Bridge. And we’re all kind of on that bridge learning to enter a new life guided by Knowledge. But the bridge image is still beautiful because we become then a medium for something greater to enter the world through our participation here together, and even through opportunities we have with individuals as we walk through life. So it’s holding two realities, and you’re part of both of them as long as you’re here. But you’re not just a worldly person trying to connect with your spiritual reality. It’s as you advance you’re going to become more in that centerline (you remember that image of the centerline?). But this centerline now is held within a different [spectrum], which is the centerline between two realities. And as the centerline, you are the bridge…you are becoming the bridge. So that at any moment, something from the Greater Reality can pass through you to another. Or that all the work you do here—all of the translators, everybody who’s participating, they are being a part of that bridge, a greater bridge beyond what we individually can create. So I give this to you to contemplate. It’s really something to think about. That is why no matter what happens in your life, keeping your Knowledge connection active and in your awareness is so important, so important. That’s why we practice. That’s why we read. That’s why we remember. We do our active practice. We do our Steps. All those things, the Great Practices: stillness, inner listening, gazing, practicing the Presence—all these things are keeping that Greater Reality in our awareness. And in a way, the COVID lockdown, social restriction, is really an advantage here because it means your exposure to the world is greatly lessened—your social exposure—your exposure to the impacts of other people—is actually temporarily suspended to a certain extent, and that can be very beneficial for your studenthood. More time in the monastery within yourself. Nasi Novare Coram
Thank you, Nasi Novare Coram
Thank you Marshal, very much appreciated. Nasi Novare Coram
Thank you dearest Messenger for this great teaching. NNC
I Love this Marshall – my maiden name is – Bridges – ha ha!
One of my closest girlfriends is a shaman who of course walks between the worlds, we have such interesting bonds despite our opposing ways of spiritual studenthood, but she is so grounded in the ways of knowledge even if we don’t discuss it as knowledge.
My sister is a gifted medium and she tells me about the rainbow bridge that our furry friends cross when they pass.
My father near his death saw a vision of a lake he was to cross as a bridge to the otherside.
Being a bridge in this life is a powerful responsibility and a great one, the STK helps the experience of being the bridge and is indescribable, but such a humbling service for humanity.May we all find our way to bridge and fulfil our mission on earth.
Thank you as always
Nasi Novare Coram
Hilary, thank you for your sharing here. There is no doubt that you have been called to this work. With hard work and the guidance of KN and our Spiritual Families we will be those bridges through which KN may enter our world. NNC Dariel
